World Bank Be ready report

The World Bank B-Ready International Trade team is looking for expert contributors for the upcoming 2025 Business Ready (B-READY) report covering more than 100 countries (listed here as Pilot 1 or Pilot 2).

B-READY, the new corporate flagship report of the World Bank Group, is the successor to the Doing Business report. The report assesses the regulatory framework and public services directed at firms, and the efficiency with which regulatory framework and public services are combined in practice. B-READY collects data by administering online questionnaires to topic-specific experts. The World Bank will select up to five expert contributors per topic questionnaire in each country, based on set criteria. If selected, you will be asked to complete a web-based topic questionnaire during October-November 2024. Respondents can choose to either participate in the project on a pro bono basis or receive a gross flat fee of USD $400 for each topic questionnaire completed.

An expert contributor must:

• have at least 3 years of work experience in trade;
• currently NOT be working as a government official, for an intergovernmental regional organization (e.g. European Commission or African Union), or for the World Bank Group.

Expert contributors are not required to be a citizen or resident of the country for which they are completing the questionnaire; however, the B-READY team requests that you express interest only for those countries in which you have prior experience. If interested, please submit your expression of interest by sending an email to mdelgadocaceres@worldbank.org along with a link to your LinkedIn profile or a CV and indicate the names of countries which you would like to be an expert contributor for.
